Thursday September 3 2009

The weather has been beautiful and crisp. Not quite fall, but still you know that summer is waning. This is the traditional weekend that closes the summer season but also gives promise to what has always been referred to as "Indian Summer". Harvest and home become the priorities in the next few weeks. Gather the wood. Check all the winter needs from storm windows and drapes to shovels and scrapers. Pack up the garden and beach stuff and move the biking stuff front and center for fall bike path rides. Slap some paint on the house and we will be ready for the next season.
